vermillion About MeI was born in a small town in South Dakota where I lived until I was three years old. (My parents divorced shortly after my birth.) At three, I moved to New York where my mother finished college, began graduate school, but then became ill. After that, my only respite from school and the tiny apartment in which we lived, was my once-weekly musical theater class, the high point of my life at the time. At the age of eight, I sang a solo at my theater school’s recital. My singing won me praise and brought me to the attention of several New York agents. I signed with one, hoping to work on the stage, but while I waited for child roles to become available, I began going to film auditions and was cast in a series of movie roles. Over time, I discovered that, even more than music, acting, was my passion. Acted until I gave birth to my child, Ethan Furlong. Now my life is very much up in the air!
